Welcome all, When I go to CHI each year, I find it hard to work out which sessions to go to, jumping between the schedule page and the pages about each paper, and back again, etc. I thought it'd be easier to just go through the papers, marking if I wanna see them or not, and have it tell me where to go. This is a test tool, that does just that. It takes some time to go through the whole list of papers, but then the schedule it produces tells me a) which session I should go to, b) why, and c) what the alternatives were. Try it and let me know what you think! Online1. We give you one big listWe give you one big list of presentations: the titles, authors, and contribution statements.2. You rate themIt doesnt take long to judge them all. 1 means not interested and 5 means you definately want to see it.3. We work out your scheduleWe produce an iCal file of the sessions we think you should attend! You can upload that to you Google calendar, sync it to your iPod, etc.Offline (for Mac Users)It can talk! Like the new iPod shuffle.1. Import the presentations into iTunesYou can listen to the titles, authors, and contribution statements on your Mac, or your iPod, or just browse them in iTunes (a script installs them).2. Rate them in iTunesiTunes (or a synced iPod) provide a handy tool to rate each song (5 means you really want to see it).3. Your schedule goes into iCalOur second script makes a schedule for you in iCal. You can sync that to your iPod too.Get or Amend a previous scheduleDISCLAIMER: this has been screen grabbed from the main site, and may have inaccuracies. |
