Q: Do you export to CSV for yahoo, etc?No I dont, yet, but this tool looks handy: iCal to CSV converter Q: Is it private? I dont want the authors seeing that I gave them a 1/5.Yeah its private to you. You need a password to access the schedules with your email address. Q: What started this?Well it started from trying to use down time, ie the offline version. One of my side projects was for getting a machine generated podcast of the latest publications from an EPrints repository. It was a poster at Open Repositories 2008. I prototyped the idea with a conference schedule in the past, and the results varied on the auto-voice, but very positive on the rating and automated schedules. So I have expanded that, but left the offline audio versions for people if they want to do that too. Q: Are you researching this?Well... yeah a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing how people used it. I might send out a questionnaire later to users. The offline pack includes some optional questionnaires that I'd love to hear back from. I might play with some anonymous data at some point. Q: Can I have one like this for another conference?See: Want one for your conference? Q: Why are there some errors?Because its scraped from a mixture of html and pdf. Ugh... Hopefully it will be populated with structured data from conferences organisers in the future Q: Can I edit a schedule?Sure, you just have to go to the 'Get/Amend a previous schedule' section on the main page. You type in the email address and password from before, and it loads all your previous choices for you to edit. Q: Can I do it a day at a time?Of course, in fact, do it during the CHI-Madness each morning to make better choices. You can stop at any point, make a schedule, and come back and edit it to add the next days. See previous questions |
